Services for Addison Neal will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Van with Marty Baker officiating and Orlando Godfrey assisting. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., immediately before the service. A private family graveside will follow at Fairway Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Addison Hunter Neal was born February 27, 1992 in Dallas. He grew up in Van and was a 2010 graduate of Van High School. He attended SFA as an undergraduate, and received a bachelor's degree in Youth & Family Ministry from Lubbock Christian University. He was currently attending school at SFA, taking science courses in order to become a faith-based psychiatrist. He belongs to the Koinonia social club at LCU, where he co-directed Master Follies his senior year. He is a devout Christian, and was a community group leader at Mosaic Church in Nacogdoches. He was involved in several ministries including mission trips to New Zealand and Ecuador. He also was a youth intern for churches in Cypress and Georgetown. As a fitness enthusiast, he also ran several marathons (beating his dad in Cowtown).

Addison passed away at the age of 25 on September 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Linda Neal.

Survivors include his parents, Linzy & Pam Neal of Van; two brothers, Cameron Neal and Preston Neal, both of Van; "brother", Clayton Godfrey of Nacogdoches; grandparents, Cindy Lanier of Van, Bill Lanier of Wyoming and Bobby Neal of Dallas; four aunts and their husbands, Barbie & Art Castillo, Heidi Lanier, Gayla & Kirk McMaster and Tammy & Daryl Doss; numerous cousins; and countless friends.

Pallbearers will be: Cameron Neal, Preston Neal, Clayton Godfrey, Ryan Ordmandy, Robert Brown and Grant Gossett.
